| 1989: | Joined Oldham Theatre Workshop (NW England). Performed in 8 productions and additionally in the following theatres:- Liverpool Empire, Oldham Coliseum, Duke of York ...... etc |
| 1990: | Began professional work with BBC (TV) series In Their Shoes |
| 1990: | July - December, on location as a principal character (with Michael Palin et al) in Alan Bleasdale's G.B.H. The series was a popular and critical success. |

Coronation Street (Granada Television) Going Live (BBC Television) In Suspicious Circumstances (Granada) Medics (Granada Television) Emmerdale (Yorkshire Television) All were (are) mainstream, highly viewed and successful mainland U.K. television programs. This growing list of credits was, for a 15/16 year old, bound to attract media attention and served as a launch-pad for what was to become a high profile media career in the U.K. and abroad. |
| 1993: | In January, Anna was offered the part of BETH JORDACHE in the Channel 4's BROOKSIDE. The gritty, sometimes harrowing scenes she portrayed, and her own promotional work for the programme, ensured her a place in U.K. television popularity, and saw viewing figures for BROOKSIDE increased by up to 50%. Intense media interest further fuelled her already popular profile across a broad spectrum of the population. |
| 1995: | By June, Anna decided to leave the world of 'popular' television on a "high note", and signed with Jeremy Conway and Nicky Van Gelder as her London (U.K.) agents. The by now 'usual' TV., magazine and press interest did not abate; if anything, it increased, as Anna moved into the world of films. |
