Queens Park Heywood
A major park of landscape and historical importance, originally presented to
the people of Heywood by Queen Victoria in 1879.
It is a welllaid out park sloping to the river valley with gardens and lake.
It offers tennis, bowling and orienteering and.for the children there are play areas
and a very popular aviary. Regular summer performances at the Bandstand and
refreshments at the Cafe make this a popular choice.
